Found myself walking up the hill to the Fabian Society’s meeting on “British Muslim Citizenship and Integration” (scroll down to the very bottom of the link) which took place as a fringe event during the Labour Party conference yesterday just as official business in the main hall had broken up and everyone seemed to be leaving in droves, making for the station. Still the meeting was well attended and I not only caught up with a few pals/acquiantances but made some new ones to boot. Will do a longer post on what happened later. In the meantime not sure if this is the best headline. What else is there? Blinking in the headlights? Whistling in the wind? Fiddling while Rome burns?
