Good to see Ed Miliband take a stand just now on bankers bonuses. A brace of today’s right wing papers (Mail and Express) are laying into the £7billion of bonuses about to be paid out despite coalition indications that they’d do something about curbing these ill-gotten gains. The great Blair aka Eric Arthur Blair aka George Orwell wrote
“All criticism broke itself against the rat-trap faces of bankers and the brassy laughter of stockbrokers.”
- in his 1940 essay “The Lion and the Unicorn”
Plus ca change.

Have you noticed though that, in politics, things do tend to sometimes go round in circles :-/

Shame Red didn’t have the spunk to ‘take a stand’ when he was in the cabinet and could have done soemthing about it.
So easy in opposition to be well..opportunistic.
What’s Red going to do about inherited property wealth that avoids inheritance tax due to complex trusts?
