…Ok not quite what the title implies but some interesting relevations about the shy and retiring millionaire at the centre of the funding scandal are made by his one-time bogus wife here. For someone who gave his money anonymously for fear of attracting publicity it seems by the law of unintended consequences every aspect of his eccentric life is being raked over now.
In the meantime a speedy police enquiry is welcome so that a line can be drawn under this affair and the government can get on with what they are supposed to do ie govern.

“So that a line can be drawn under this affair.”
I.e. Ensure that everybody involved it gets off, even though a number of them have almost certainly broken the law. Then they can get on with wasting taxpayers’ money.

Well at least it’s not some fixed internal enquiry of the sort Morrissey complained about re: DeMenezes. So far all we’ve had is trial by media. Let justice be done I say.

I agree with you that Brown, Hain, Harperson, Abrahams, and Wendy Alexander should be charged and stand trial. Let us hope that happens eh?
