It is a travesty that no-one within the police is being held personally accountable for the shooting. People hold positions of responsibility and that’s exactly what they are and people must accept that responsibility – with responsibility come consequences. A fine is just going to be passed onto the tax payers so we end up paying the police’s mistakes. Grounds of health and safety make out that it was an accident, but rather it was an intentional killing, albeit on the wrong man. Why is it that, within government (and senior management) people are given the opportunity to resign when in other, lower ranking positions people are fired for making mistakes.

As for immigration there are indeed many immigrants that are making a great contribution to British society in many different ways but at the same time there are many who have no real skills to use or take low skilled, low paid jobs that could be done by the unemployed, were they willing to work and others are having to be supported by society. At the same time it is our responsibility to protect those in genuine need or refuge but at the same time the UK only has limited resources.
